I have had cats in my house ever since I was born. I have always had at least one or two cats to keep me company when I was sad or happy or just wanted another living thing to be around. Now that I'm not living with my family, I don't have any pets and I really miss them, especially my cat. Cats are also one of my favorite animals so it would only be befitting that a picture of one would make its way on to my blog.

Longboarding has been a big part of my life ever since I started it up 5 years ago. I love the rush of riding fast but also see longboarding as more than just a good time. It helps me cope with problems in my life. If I'm stressed or just need a break I grab my iPod and my longboard and go until I feel better.
This is a photo of the city where I was born and raised; San Diego. I spent 12 years of my life there, growing up, going to school, making friends etc. I spent every weekend for years out on the ocean and in the bay surrounding the city, either fishing, sailing, or just enjoying the ocean air. Now that I live in Colorado I really miss those weekends and wish I could go back.
Similar to the picture above this one; I was born in California. On those weekends that I didn't spend time on the ocean I would go around California visiting cities all around. My mom and I used to go all over, up to San Francisco and Santa Cruz. Over to Los Angeles. Our favorite spot was this little town called Julian. It was similar to the mountain towns we have here. We used to go there sometimes just as a day trip and have lunch. The town burned to the ground in a forest fire when I was 11.
the flag of my heritage. Believe it or not I am actually almost full blooded Italian. Both my mom and my dad had almost full blooded Italian parents. My great grandparents on both my dad and mom's side immigrated to the US in the late 1800's. The other part of my family heritage is English.
This photo shows my love for marine life and the ocean. I have lived on the ocean for most of my life and have always been fascinated with the creatures that lie just beneath the surface. My favorite type of marine animal has to be any of the creatures in the Cephalopod group. They are beautiful, highly intelligent creatures, that move with such fluidity. If reincarnation was real a cuttlefish would definitely be my new form of choice.
Lastly, bears. My favorite animals, ever since I could remember, are bears. I love them all; black bears, brown bears, polar bears, all of them. I don't really know why I like them so much. I think it has a lot to do with my mom, because they were one of her favorite animals too. So in the event that I couldn't be a cuttlefish in my next life, a bear would definitely be my next choice.
